Filters help healthcare teams manage high fax volumes by isolating specific subsets of fax activity—such as failed transmissions, inbound referrals, or faxes from a specific number. Multiple filters can be combined to create precise views without leaving the dashboard.

Available filters

Use the search bar to find faxes by:
  • To or From fax number
  • Document name
  • Sender email address
  • Label or subject text

User

Filter by the user who sent or owns the fax.
Helpful for reviewing individual workloads or troubleshooting issues.

Number

Shows faxes associated with a specific fax number or inbox, such as a department or location-based number.

Method

Filter by how the fax was sent. Different types of Methods include:
  • App
  • Email-to-Fax
  • FCL-to-Fax
  • Developer API
  • Broadcast Fax
This is useful when diagnosing delivery issues.

Label

Filter using custom labels like Lab, Referral, or Billing to quickly group related documents.

Direction

Narrow results to:
  • Inbound faxes
  • Outbound faxes
Commonly used to triage incoming patient documents.

Status

Fax Status help you to track and focus on documents that need action.
  • Delivered — The fax was successfully sent and confirmed by the receiving system.
  • Confirmed — The recipient explicitly acknowledged receipt of the fax.
  • Cancelled — The fax was manually stopped before delivery completed.
  • Failed — The fax could not be delivered after all retry attempts.
  • Retries — The fax is being resent automatically due to a temporary delivery issue.
  • Recipient Failure — Delivery failed due to an issue on the recipient’s fax line or system.
  • Partially Cancelled — Some pages were sent before the fax was cancelled.
  • Partially Sent — Only a portion of the fax was delivered successfully.
  • Blocked — The fax was prevented from sending due to policy, permissions, or compliance rules.
  • Incoming Transmission — The fax is currently being received.
  • New — The fax has been received but not yet reviewed or assigned.
  • Action Required — The fax needs user attention, such as reassignment or retry.

Time

Limit results by fax creation date and time range, useful for:
